Completed these two pens today. Ebonite and brass with handmade clip and brass sleeved hooded nib. Used Kanwrite 51 nib and feed with Jinhao converter. Green pen is 149 mm long with 27.2 gms and the tan colour one is 138 mm and 25 gms. Cap is simple slide fit with 1 degree taper.
Hope you like the design. Welcome comments.
My low cost pens are very satisfying. I can not afford high end pens. Found these low priced pens [ as described in many pen collector forums] can be quite a lot of fun. Sharing my experience with the viewer. All these reviews are based on how it feels in my hand, not much of methods etc. Any comments and question always welcome.

Hooded nib pen in black and brass
Completed the pen, lots of indecision about the cap and clip though! The solid brass clip came up too stiff, so used this flat clip. The full pen is 155 mm and 13 mm at the barrel max. The cap is slide fit but no snap fit. Writing test done, Kanwrite 51 is a very smooth nib, pen is quite well balanced. Cap posts very well. There are quite a lot of metal in the pen, final weight is 38.6 gms. Next couple of pens in this design would try to make slimmer , shorter and within 30 gms ...will see how those come up.
Hope you like the design. Kindly let us have your comments.
Material is black pmma acrylic rod.

Two more pens in brass hardware and ebonite
Made these two pens with handmade clip and trim. Kanwrite 35mm nib unit and Jinhao converter used. Minor flaws in the cap finials remain , to be dressed up by hand later. These are based on the same design as in the last post, but have minor variations.

One recent pen I have made.
This is one more of my handmade pens with own handmade brass clip. Kanwrite 35 mm nib unit and Schmidt K5 converter used. . I have ink tested the pen, balance and comfort are alright. The brass couplers and accents seem to enhance the otherwise subdued colour of the olive green with black rippled shade of the ebonite. Hope you like the design.

Hi all. Could you help me learn how to make this blog better.
Near five years of maintaining this blog, I feel I should have had more knowledge of internet and blog designing etc.
I would like to have my blog to be one where viewers can post their comments so we can interact.
Viewers can advise me on every aspect of betterment .How do I make sure this feature is available ?
And navigation should be better so any older post can be found fast- this feature is somewhat working.
Is it necessary to migrate to another domain now, free or paid ? I am really ignorant.
Kindly contact me at << sanyalsoumitra@yahoo.co.in >>
or << Soumitra3241@gmail.com>>
What I could not do alone, might be done with your kind help. Please help out if you might.
Warm regards to all viewers.

Kit less pen in white and amethyst shade.
Pleased to share photos of the pen completed just now. Made using a white pmma rod and left over parts of older used blanks, the pen came up as desired. Slightly longer than a Lady Safari as shown the pen is very light. Jowo 6 nib unit and Schmidt k5 converter used. The photos are not very good, apologies. Hope you like the design. Welcome comments and criticism.
