For quite sometime I had been working hard to restore six following pens. But the damaged plating on the metal ares are not possible to restore, particularly on the Aluminum based metal
caps and other parts like clips. By hand polish this is the maximum extent that could be restored as shown in the photos. I wish a spray on plating like paint or a brush applicable gold emulsion
were available- but no idea where to look and how costly. Requseting viewrs with jewellery knowledge to kindly advise.
The pens are : Whitefeather 608, Plato 222, Wilson Commander, Hero 240, Pilot Japan gold nib , Optimat- in same order as the photos.
My low cost pens are very satisfying. I can not afford high end pens. Found these low priced pens [ as described in many pen collector forums] can be quite a lot of fun. Sharing my experience with the viewer. All these reviews are based on how it feels in my hand, not much of methods etc. Any comments and question always welcome.

Polish job- ASA Daily
Tried to polish all my ASA sourced ebonite pens with jewellers rouge and cotton. Result is good , the surfaces have developed a natural lusture and looking good. Here are some photos. Thanks for watching.

I need help to ID an old pen. Name printed at the base of the cap OPTIMAT. Marking on the nib: Wing Flow USA. No ther detail avaailable. Photo of parts may help.
